A Complete Exterior Renovation in Monroe, GA

Project overview
When a Monroe, GA, homeowner was ready to give their property a complete exterior overhaul, they turned to Encompass Contracting to make it happen. The scope was substantial: a full exterior renovation spanning two phases, touching everything from the roofline to the driveway to the front and back yards.
Phase I was completed on time and on budget in April 2026, and Phase II is scheduled to begin in June 2026.
Project Timeline: March 2026 – April 2026
Phase I: Sitework, Roofing & Concrete
We began by removing twelve trees from the property and grinding each stump, clearing the way for the structural and hardscape work to follow.
With the site prepared, our team replaced the existing roof with a new CertainTeed lifetime architectural shingle system, serving as a durable, long-term solution that anchored the entire exterior renovation. Our attention then shifted to the front of the home, where we demploished the existing driveway, front entry deck, and staircase. We regraded the front yard to ensure proper water runoff before we set forms for a new, expanded driveway and walkway. Once we poured and set the concrete, our crew built a new front entry deck and staircase, completing Phase I with a clean, refreshed arrival experience.
Phase II: Siding, Decking & Paint (Coming June 2026)
Phase II will complete the full exterior transformation. The scope includes:
- Exterior siding and trim replacement using James Hardie fiber cement products
- Replacement of deck boards and handrail at the rear deck
- Thorough cleaning and sealing of all exterior surfaces with Sherwin-Williams SherMax elastomeric sealant
- Full exterior paint using Sherwin-Williams Duration exterior paint
- Staining of both decks using Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck stain
When we wrap up Phase II, this home will have undergone a full renewal from the ground up, with every exterior surface touched, upgraded, and protected for the long term.
