A Kitchen & Primary Bathroom Remodel in Athens, GA
This combined renovation updated two of the home's busiest spaces in a single month.
Project overview
When an Athens, GA, homeowner decided it was time to update two of the most-used spaces in their home, they brought Encompass Contracting in for both a full kitchen remodel and a primary bathroom renovation. Combining the two scopes into one project let our crew move from the kitchen to the bathroom without the downtime of scheduling them separately, and it gave the homeowner a fully updated kitchen and bathroom from one continuous renovation.
The homeowner's priority for the kitchen was storage that worked better for their daily routine. We reworked the cabinetry layout to include more pull-out drawer base cabinets throughout, added a pull-out spice rack and flat pan storage on each side of the range, and built in a double trash can cabinet to the left of the kitchen sink. Every change was based on how the homeowners use their kitchen day to day.

Encompass Contracting started this project in June 2026 and completed both the kitchen and primary bathroom by July 2026, finishing the full renovation in one month. The primary bathroom renovation included a full shower rebuild, and our crew found existing plumbing pipes running through the walls at the shower stall once demolition started. Our team adjusted the shower layout to work around the existing lines instead of relocating the plumbing, which protected the one-month timeline and kept the project within its original scope.
